Link building is a vital element of search engine optimisation. It helps a great deal with search engine rankings asit is one way in which the search engines measure how "popular" your site is. It also helps generate qualified traffic to the site, that is people who are interested in your topic. Search engines (eg Google) are giving greater weight in their search results to sites that are “popular” – that is those with links to them from other sites. In other words, the more links there are to your site, the higher it should rank. It is therefore in your interest to develop as many links as possible from other web sites to yours. However be aware it is not just a case of numbers – the quality and relevance of links is critical. The links which are most important are those from ‘significant’ web sites which cover a similar topic or have similar content to yours. Don’t fall into the trap of subscribing to a link farm which could get you banned from a search engine totally! We've split our Link Building Package into three sections • ..ensuring
your website is ready or we develop a link building strategy with you for you to action in house. Some of these sections may not be needed. To ensure your website is ready for link building, Oryx will spend up to two hours researching your site. This may lead to changes being recommended, for example, the development of a site map. This part of the package is valued at $185.00 plus GST. Note this does not include the actual development of the site map or any other work which may be needed. We will then spend four hours researching and two hours listing you at relevant specialised directories and sites relevant to your website. We will provide a report covering the quality sites we discover before we submit you to them. These services are valued at NZ$450.00 + gst for researching and $260.00 + GST for listing.
